Free Consultation

I offer a free 30-minute consultation to all prospective students. 

Every student needs to find the right teacher for them. It is not just about qualifications, experience, or reputation. Personality, communication styles, connection, enthusiasm, teaching style, and musical interests are additional considerations that you should evaluate. You really can't assess those qualities unless you meet in person and have a conversation.

I'm excited that you are interested in studying music with me! I have a passion for working with students of all ages and levels and would like to get to know you and your son/daughter a little bit better. Once I receive the information and review it, I will contact you to schedule a day and time for the consultation lesson. The Consultation Lesson will give you an opportunity to learn a little bit more about me, ask questions, and clarify any information you are uncertain about. 

During the consultation lesson, I will assess your current musical and technical abilities, ask about your musical interests, goals and learnings styles.  If the student is young, I will help assess, in consultation with the parent, the readiness of the child for lessons and determine if the guitar is the best fit for your child. I will also answer any questions that you may have. After gathering sufficient information, I will then make some impartial recommendations. There is no pressure to sign up on the spot (but you are welcomed to do so, if you wish). I hope our meeting will provide you with enough information that you can make an informed decision.
